Obituary

Gerald George (Gerry), born to John and Margaret Rieder on January 26, 1932, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 20, 2010.

Gerry was born on the family farm in Peebles, SK. He was the second youngest of eight children.

He was predeceased by his parents; infant brother Leonard; sister-in-law Mildred; brother Joe (Mary); sister-in-law Olive; sister-in-law Mary; brother Ambrose (Marian); sister Mary (Tony); brother Maurice; and niece Margaret (Garry).

Gerald is survived by his brothers Albert and Walter; sister-in-law Barbara; as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.

Gerald had a lifelong career as a pharmacist and worked in many communities mostly in Saskatchewan. Gerald was family oriented, always connecting with relatives and friends, especially with a game of cards.

A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at St. Pius Roman Catholic Church, 156 Railway Ave, Windthorst, SK on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing starting at 10:00 a.m.

Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3 or the Windthorst Cemetery Fund.

Dear Rieders,
I remember Gerry's sense of humour, and what great times he and our parents had together. He was part of the whole wonderful extended family we had and have in Sask. and he'll be missed.
